On the Quiet Power of Detail

With our endless desire to create pieces that carry their own distinct essence, story and detail, this dress was approached as an exploration of texture and colour. From the outset, the design process was guided by experimentation; layering materials and techniques to create something expressive yet refined.
The design began with texture and colour. We wanted to explore how different materials could exist together while still feeling cohesive. Beads of varying sizes, shapes, and tones were layered across the dress, creating contrast and rhythm. Mother-of-pearl elements were introduced and spray-painted to build depth, allowing the surface of the dress to feel rich, considered and expressive without feeling heavy.
The arrangement of the embellishment was treated almost like a pathway. Rather than placing details randomly, the beadwork moves intentionally through the dress, leading the eye from one section to the next. This direction gives the piece structure and flow, creating a refined sequence that feels natural on the body.
To add character, the neckline was designed with asymmetry and a subtle plunge. It brings in a sense of ease and femininity; something soft and slightly unexpected while still holding its strength. It’s a detail that feels confident rather than loud.
The silhouette was always meant to complement the body. A cinched waist defines the form, while the elongated cut creates length and presence. The extended train finishes the look with quiet drama, allowing the dress to move beautifully while maintaining its shape.
